Arizona State Law Journal Blog Submission Guidelines
Blog submissions are now open.
The Arizona State Law Journal Blog accepts blog submissions through the portal available on our website. If you have any questions, please contact our Blog Editor at asljblog@gmail.com.
Length. Blog accepts brief discussions on evolving legal events. The Blog strongly prefers submissions between 700 to 1,200 words with limited exceptions.
Citations. Instead of traditional footnoting, Blog encourages authors to hyperlink their sources in-text.
Anonymization. Blog does not require that authors submit anonymously. Rather, authors should include their contact information in the text of their submission to ensure that Editors can reach out.
Authors. Blog is proud to accept submissions from all authors, including practitioners, students, scholars, and non-legal academics.
Review process. Blog reviews submissions through a streamlined editorial process that typically takes under four weeks. The Blog Editor, in consultation with the Executive Board, evaluates each submission and generally reaches an initial publication decision within one week. If accepted, the submission undergoes editing, source-checking, and review by the Blog Editor and selected Staff Writers. The author then receives the proposed edits and may accept, reject, or discuss any suggested changes. In some cases, additional rounds of review may be necessary. Once the editing process is complete and the author has approved the final version, the Technology Editor publishes the post on the Journal website.
Light Touch Policy. Blog is committed to a “light touch policy” to preserve the author’s original voice, argument, and structure.
