Hello Reader,

We are excited to welcome you to the very first issue of the Arizona State Law Journal Forum. These publications comprise a new online companion piece to the print edition of the Arizona State Law Journal. Going forward, we intend to publish shorter essays, response pieces to print edition articles, and more. We hope you enjoy reading these pieces and welcome any feedback you may have to improve Forum.

Before you begin reading, we would like to give a quick thank you to those without whom Forum would be impossible.

First, for her great effort in researching, laying the groundwork, and soliciting the essays in this issue, we would like to thank Amanda Weber (née Lombard), Journal’s fantastic Blog Editor for 2025–2026. Creating Forum would not have been possible without her effort and passion. She also subjected this issue’s essays to the same rigorous process that print edition articles go through with the help of Annie Weiler, our Blog Committee Chair, and the rest of the 2025–2026 Committee: M. Sophie Adams, Sam Atlas, and Sophie Hallam. Thank you all for your commitment to Forum and for adding to your long list of tasks to make this possible.

Second, we would like to thank our initial authors, Professor James Hodge and Dr. Summer Ghaith, for being eager to publish on a new platform. We appreciate your support and enthusiasm. We would also like to thank and congratulate initial Forum student contest winners, Molly Woodward and Maya Dominguez. To submit your own piece to Forum, please see our Scholastica for instructions and requirements.

Finally, thank you, Reader, for choosing to support this new platform. We hope you enjoy this issue and all the ones to come.
